May 3-7, 2009
Orange County Convention Center West
Orlando, Florida

Why is COLLABORATE 09 co-presented by three users groups?

Joining forces to co-present COLLABORATE 09 allows the IOUG, OAUG and Quest to bring you the best practices and user-driven training that each user group offers. Plus, COLLABORATE 09 attendees have access to the greater Oracle community — more exhibitors, Oracle representatives and other Oracle users.

Each organization develops its own slate of educational content and plans activities geared specifically to its respective community, but at the end of the day, we all benefit from the shared COLLABORATE experience. The IOUG, OAUG and Quest will continue to function as independent user groups serving separate audiences.

Where is COLLABORATE 09 taking place?

COLLABORATE 09 is being held May 3-7, 2009 at the Orange County Convention Center West in Orlando, Florida. Please refer to your affiliated organization’s Web site for information on making your hotel reservations and registering for the conference.

How do I register for COLLABORATE 09?

You can register online through the IOUG, OAUG or Quest Web sites. Register through the organization with which you are already affiliated, or select the users group that best fits your educational needs. Registration is not available through this Web site.

How much does COLLABORATE 09 cost?

Registration for the conference ranges from $1335 to $2075, depending on whether or not you are a current member of one of the users groups, and also depending on when you register. Sign up early for the best rates.

Is Oracle participating in COLLABORATE 09?

Yes. COLLABORATE is grateful to have Oracle’s support and participation in the Exhibitor Showcase, keynote presentations and educational sessions.

How many people are anticipated to be in attendance?

7,500 attendees came to COLLABORATE 08, and we expect more in 2009. But we’re careful to bring every attendee the ease of finding specific content that applies to them, as well as a fun, close-knit gathering with the greater Oracle community in addition to the events planned by each of our three groups.

Can I access all three organizations’ education/events?

Yes, although there are some events, such as pre-conference training sessions, that are limited to the registrants of each individual users group.

Each organization collects registrations from its users independently, but COLLABORATE attendees have access to the education and events planned by all of the groups, with a few exceptions. More education is one of the biggest benefits of COLLABORATE, which functions like three conferences in one. You must register directly with your affiliated organization to receive accurate communications pertinent to your product line/area of interest. Online registration will be available November 3, 2008. Please look to your affiliated organization’s Web site for more information.

If I am interested in only certain technologies or applications, will I still have options?

Yes. Each of our groups lists their education offerings on their respective Web sites, where you can find the sessions that are specific to your area of interest. The event will feature content and tracks specific to database and applications users alike.

How can I submit a presentation for the conference?

Thank you for your interest in presenting at COLLABORATE 09. Our call for presentations closed on November 7, 2008.
